Honoring America’s Warriors, exclusive to Oklahoma, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting our veterans’ physical, mental health, and wellness services. An all-volunteer staff provides these services through donations and grants.
The mission is fulfilled by creating activities that allow these men and women to be with other veterans’ peer to peer who cope with the same issues on a daily basis in a non-clinical environment.
Honoring America’s Warriors was established in 2014 to assist veterans’ families with a full funeral detail or augmented service. Because at times, two-person flag folding is not enough. Our service members deserve and have earned the right for the highest honors at burial. We perform this mission with veterans from all branches of service who want to pay it forward and continue a mission to render final honors.
Honoring America’s Warriors also provides service dogs and training, at no cost, for our disabled veterans who cope with anxiety or depression that could lead to veteran suicide. Please visit the Service Dog page to read more.
Our organization is under the direction of board president USAF MG Rita Aragon (Ret.) board members Waco Blakley, retired Marine, and Air National Guard 1st Sgt., and Health Systems Redesign Coordinator for the Eastern OK VA Healthcare system. Steve Russell, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and former Oklahoma 5th District US Congressman. David Davis VP of Cricket Wireless, Paul Ray, former Legion Post 353 Commander, Dr. Mark Kinders, former VP of Student Affairs, University of Central Oklahoma. In addition, our team of directors and program coordinators is made up of veterans who play a vital role in helping us complete our missions. We ask you to join us and support our essential work by providing monetary donations and/or in-kind products and services that allow us to continue our critical mission. Please feel free to reach out to us and thank you for your support.
