Doc Warren's Ride to Remember Memorial Day Poker Run

Saturday, May 27, 2017 - 10:30

Kickstands up at 10:30

Doc Warren’s RIDE TO REMEMBER is about honoring and remembering all of our fallen heroes. HM3 (FMF) Eric “Doc” Warren was serving his third tour of Afghanistan as an (FMF) Corpsman for the 1/8 Marines when he was KIA on May 26, 2012. Eric fought beside his Marines and then fixed them up if any one was injured; he saved many lives and limbs, as he was completely dedicated to his Marines. One of many awards HM3 Warren received while on deployments was the Purple Heart. He and the squad were clearing a mosque of explosives when he heard someone call for help outside. He immediately left the cover of the mosque to go help and that’s when he triggered the IED. The Purple Heart was awarded for his willingness to help at all times at any cost, including his life.

Doc was loved by all, especially by his family, his countless friends and brothers at arms. This event will culminate on his 5th angelversary, and his Marines will be coming from all over the country to join in on this remembrance of his life. Please join us and show these Marines just how much Oklahoma loves our veterans! Memorial Day is every day for these combat veteran’s. This RIDE TO REMEMBER is dedicated to Doc Warren but is a reminder of ALL of our fallen heroes. Freedom isn’t free.
